I saw John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl last night.  And it was epic.  Mainly because I’ve been obsessed with his scores for the past…10 years and I was getting to see them performed live in front of me.  Granted, there were about a million people separating me from him, but it didn’t matter.

At this point in the show, he talked us through how he goes about composing a song for a movie by using the opening sequence from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and then they played the song live with the film rolling on the screen for us.  I thought it was possibly the coolest thing I’d ever seen.  And then my camera ran out of memory, so I couldn’t catch the end.  But it was the whole him explaining it to us that I thought was the coolest part.
